Terms & Conditions of Business and Use

Buy wine online. Last updated 19th February 2024

If you want to buy wine from us or use our website you can only do so on these terms and conditions, and by purchasing on the website you are agreeing to be bound by them. Although they are written in small print, we hope you will agree that they are designed to be fair to you and to us. We may change these from time to time by updating this posting. 

Prices and payment

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling, and may be per bottle or per case, as stated. The prices include Value Added Tax, unless otherwise specified. Any delivery charges are additional depending on location and quantity purchased (Please read Delivery below). Please note, our new Drinks On Wheels Takeaway Drinks Service (accepts cash & card payments via telephone). We accept payment by Switch, Visa, MasterCard and Amex (American Express), bank transfer and cheque. Regular payments by bank transfer and cheque the order(s) will only be dispatched when cleared funds have been received in Robert Urban Enterprises Account (trading as No Fuss Just Wines).

We reserve the right to terminate any special offer at any time, without notice.

Delivery (Including FREE delivery subject to the below & £30.00 Homepage Discount)

All orders of 6 bottles or more qualifies for FREE delivery in Wales, Scotland and mainland UK, as well as all deals presented to our Seasonal Buyers and Corporate Customers. You can still get FREE delivery using your Discount Voucher of £30.00 for all orders in the UK - (Please enter coupon code TV30 in your shopping cart) which applies only when you spend £200 or more on wines and spirits. Please see our section for Delivery & International (with details about using your Discount Voucher also) at the top of our homepage. It is your obligation to inspect goods on immediate arrival in case of shortages to your order or any damage. In the absence of any notification within 2 hours of delivery, we will regard that any shortage or breakage occurred after delivery was made to you. For our Drinks On Wheels Takeaway Drinks Service, delivery is free to Worthing, Sompting, and Lancing (West Sussex) -  (Delivery charges may apply out of this radius and time of day). 

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your website order, payments made using paypal will incur a 5% non-refundable charge for all orders in the UK and overseas. For all credit cards, or charge cards, will incur a 3% non-refundable charge for all orders in the UK and overseas. Payments by bank transfer or cheque(s) will not incur any charges, and a full refund will be issued. Cancellations are only redeemable 48hrs to when the initial order was placed. Returns will be at the expense of the buyer not us. Please note that vintages may vary, so we advise to contact us should a specific vintage be of interest - please see product descriptions for details. Thank you for your understanding.

Availability

All Goods are offered for sale subject to availability. Should a wine or vintage not be available, we will notify you by email or telephone. We will also be happy to offer suitable selections, should a wine not be available, and inform you of the next availability and time for dispatch, and thank you in advance for your kind patience. Vintages may vary from product descriptions, due to wines coming from bond.

Exporting your wines

We are happy to supply wine to clients abroad. We currently use DHL International service for exportation; however, we can also put you in touch with different freight companies who can advise on the necessary paperwork etc. The delivery/packaging/insurance charges made by DHL International vary on weight and would be added after to your total order made via our website (additional payment(s) may be required, in which we would inform you of our bank details for a transfer). This can be discussed either via email or by telephone with discretion. Please see more in our Delivery & International (footer of homepage).

Age restriction

We won't sell wine to anyone who isn't 18 years old or over. Sorry, but that's the law. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are buying a case of wine or bottle as a gift - the recipient must also be over 18 years old. If we are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, they will request some form of ID (this also applies to our Drinks On Wheels Takeaway Drinks Service. If the person receiving the wine is unable to produce appropriate ID, unfortunately we will be unable to leave the wine. Sorry to have to state the obvious, but once the wine has been delivered, according to your original delivery instructions; it becomes the recipient's responsibility. 

Security

If you are nervous about shopping on the web, don't be. We use secure servers with state-of-the-art encryption and secure sockets layer (SSL) technology for the transfer of credit card information. Additionally, we have security measures in place to protect our customer database and access to this database is restricted internally. It is your responsibility to protect your password from being disclosed to any third party. The most common way to pay (and one of the safest) is by bank transfer.

Warranties

We warrant that the wines will be of satisfactory quality and fit for their general purpose.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to meet our obligations occasioned by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Quality and Attributes

Whilst we make every effort to ensure the proper cellaring of wines in our possession and will act in good faith in purchasing wines, we cannot be responsible for the condition of wines or whether they show any attributes which might be expected. Factors such as transit conditions can have an effect on wine, and how a customer stores their wine before drinking. In our absolute discretion we will consider requests for replacing the unopened balance of an order which is undrinkable. Proof will be required i.e photos and return of undrinkable wines, so that a full investigation inventory to the vineyard can take place.

Personal Information

You agree that we may use Personal information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti-fraud checks. Personal Information that you provide may be disclosed to a credit reference or fraud prevention agency, which may keep a record of that information.

Law

This contract is made under English Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
